About 18 years ago, I was a field claims adjuster for GMAC. I moved out of the country for my husband's job, and I had to leave my company. My experience as a field claims adjuster is remarkably like what a notary signing agent does. I had to meet with people at their homes, take statements, verify damages/injury, and submit reports. Not only do you have to be very thorough, timely with getting those reports in, but also incredibly detailed orientated. Not only that, but I also had to provide great customer service to everyone I met. I was working with people who were dealing with some of the worst times in their lives, but I pride myself on being able to connect with people no matter the circumstance. Because of my prior work experience I am a very meticulous person, and I will go over each document to ensure that signatures, dates, and initials are complete and properly filled out.
