I am a Masters Notary Academy certified loan signing specialist. I spent my first year out of undergraduate working for a national title company as a curative specialist. In this capacity, I became aware of a great number of mistakes that notaries unintentionally make when executing documents at closings. I also worked for a real estate law firm when I first moved to Seattle. After leaving real estate law and entering graduate school for social work, I became highly involved in civil legal aid and indigent defense. I was a free notary at the front desk of the legal aid society in Seattle, the Northwest Justice Project, for three years during graduate school. After completing graduate school, I destroyed my notary stamp in Washington and returned home to California, where I've spent the past four years as a county social worker. I reacquired my notary stamp in California to have a second income, enabling me to save money to return to graduate school for my doctorate. I am still working full time as a social worker on the weekdays, but I would like to close a few loans on the weekends. ***I am available to close loans on the weekend anywhere in Humboldt County in California.
