I meticulously go over documents so that signatures, dates, and initials are legible and properly filled out. This is especially true with key documents i.e. Notice of Right to Cancel and 1003. I always ensure that the dates are correct on Notice of Right to Cancel and I know to have the borrower initial any corrections to the Notice of Right to Cancel — If the dates need correcting. If the lines are blank I'll have the borrower fill in the dates themselves. I understand the seriousness that errors and overlooked details can cause such as the mortgage officer losing a rate lock, risking funding delays, etc. The first thing I do after signing is send scan backs with FEDEX drop off times being the priority.
