Towns,zip codes are postal zones, i.E., lucedale, ms 39452 includes many towns,all of george county and portions of greene,jackson and wayne counties. E.G., it is ca. 20 miles from leakesville to lucedale town center. It is another 20 to the jackson county line and still has a lucedale postal address, even though i passed through towns such as agricola and movella. The leakesville postal area has same phenomenon.
