My name is Mary Lou Till. I grew up with mid-western values in Hannibal, Mo., and represented my hometown as the city-wide ‘Becky’ in true Samuel Clemens (and Tom Sawyer) style. I moved to Naples, FL in high school, with its white sandy beaches and warm weather, and determined the differences between FL and MO to be much greater than simply weather. In 1978, I relocated to California, where I received my bachelor’s degree in business from St. Mary’s College, and I’ve resided in Lafayette ever since.
I am a 35-year real estate veteran, combining both sales and financing experience within the industry. I have practiced what I preached by owning, in part or in whole, 14 properties, and have been in attendance in more real estate closings than I can count. I have always known that excellence in any field depends on preparation, hard work, personality and experience, and these qualities have served me well. In real estate sales, I was an owner of Mason-McDuffie, and while working for Diablo Funding Group, the 5th largest mortgage brokerage company in California before the economic downturn, I was in the Chairman’s Club for eight consecutive years.
