I am a retired Air Force paralegal with 28 yrs of service---23 as a military notary, among my myriad of other duties. I also performed notary services during my 10+ years employment with the American Bar Association Office of the General Counsel, where I worked as the law office manager in Chicago, IL. During my active-duty Air Force service, we routinely notarized wills, powers of attorney, affidavits, and many other documents.

My military service included deployments to Saudi Arabia during Desert Shield/Desert Storm from 1990 to 1991, and deployment to the Philippines as a member of a claim's disaster team in the aftermath of the eruption of Mount Pinatubo in June 1991.
